Due to the competitiveness of the low cost airlines, flying from the UK to Geneva can be a very inexpensive option (from as little as £50 return). The flight time is normally around 1 hour, fifteen minutes.

On arrival at Geneva, you have a number of options to get to the resort.

Hire Car
There are a host of new web sites that offer car hire at great prices. Try or (this is only a recommendation) who offer car hire from as little as £100 per week. I would recommend hiring the car from the Swiss part of the airport as the hire charge includes the Swiss motorway toll charge.

The journey is quick and simple and also has a benefit of some eye-catching scenery as you wind through the beautiful alpine mountains.

A bus service operates quite frequently from Geneva airport and takes approximately 1.5 hours.

Airport transfers
A local firm will pick you up at the airport and drop you off at the apartment from as little as £25.00. Please try

We advise a transfer by road, but if you are keen on using the train, cross Geneva to the Eaux-Vives rail station and take a French SNCF train to Annemasse or Roche-sur-Foron. Change here for Le Fayet/St. Gervais Les Bains. then onto the Mont Blanc Express for a truly panoramic ride to Les Houches.

The journey will take between 2 hours, 51 minutes and 3 hours, 25 minutes.

Please consult the relevant web sites for further information. Local knowledge suggests that a hire car or airport service is the best means of transport to Les Houches.

From the Swiss part of the airport follow signs for France and Annecy then pick up the signs for the A40 Chamonix Mont Blanc. Once on the A40, follow this road for about 45 minutes and look for signs to Les Houches.

Follow this road, uphill for about a mile, and then turn right at the top. Follow this road for a further kilometre and look on your left hand side for the new MGM development. It is opposite an open field space. If you find yourself at the base of the Prairon Cable car and bars etc. turn around and go back for about 100 metres and look on your right for the building with the open land on your left.

The Journey time should take no longer than 55 minutes from Geneva.
